The Mickey Mantle After School Program, (Part of District 75 Middle School After School Program), offers students’ academic and enrichment activities Monday through Thursday, 3pm to 6pm. Students receive academic intervention in literacy through the Achieve300 Program. This program identifies student needs and provides instruction in reading and writing. In mathematics, students play instructional games on Dreambox, which provides real time feedback and instruction to students while motivating them through a game-like interface.
Students participate in other enrichment activities such as Culinary Arts, Physical Education, Art, Social-Emotional Learning, and Technology. In the Technology class students use Fablevision’s Animationish and Get Published to create stories and animations published in the spring of 2019.
